Refreshing summer drink for breastfeeding mamas
Today I'm sharing my lactation summer smoothie recipe that's refreshing and energising, and I hope you like ginger. I've been having a glass of this smoothie for breakfast to start my day, and a cup of breastfeeding tea at night to unwind when the kids are asleep. And they've helped me heaps with my milk supply!
Galactagogues (milk-making food)
Brewer's yeast for milk supply is very popular due to its protein level, minerals, vitamin B, key amino acids and chromium which supports healthy milk supply for breastfeeding mothers.
Flaxseed has phytoestrogens that can influence breast milk production. Flaxseed also contains essential fatty acids.
Organic almond milk is healthy and full of protein and calcium. Many nursing mothers choose to drink almond milk to increase the creaminess, sweetness, and amount of their breast milk.
